Accreditations
T & A Kernoghan Group maintains strong links and association with a wide range of construction accreditation organisations as a way of demonstrating and reinforcing our commitment to high standards in all of our company wide activities.
The groups’ policies, procedures and practices are accredited with ISO 9001 Quality Standard, ISO 14001 Environment Standard, OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Standard and Safe-T-Cert a standard developed from the 18001 documentation but enhanced for the construction industry.
The group is committed to the philosophy of Investors in People and our policies follow these principles.
With all these standards achieved, maintained and followed our group demonstrates that we operate a truly Total Business System where Quality, People, the Environment and Health and Safety are all part of the company's culture.
We are approved by both Construction line and National House Builders Council (NHBC). We are members of Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISG) part of the British Safety Council, the construction skills register and Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and are committed to promoting training within the construction industry. We are part of the considerate constructor’s scheme and members of both Construction Employers Federation (CEF) and Construction Industry Federation (CIF). The group are also on approved lists of many Local Authorities.
Awards
For the first time in 2008 the Group entered the Construction Employer Federation (CEF) Construction Excellence Awards. The Orchard Mews and Orchard House housing development contract, undertaken for BIH Housing, was entered into the social housing category and was selected as the winner within this category.
The group plans to enter its projects for more awards in the near future and will update this site with award outcomes.
