Methody College - New Boat House & Associated Terraces
The main challenge of this project centred around the fact that the building was located immediately alongside the River Lagan therefore access was key, especially for the initial task on site, steel sheet piling. This was required in order to form the coffer dam so that the subsequent construction of foundations could take place. With the assistance of our piling sub-contractor and through liaising with Belfast City Council a solution was reached whereby the piles were hammered from a barge anchored in the river.
The project was completed on time and within budget much to the satisfaction of the Client, Methodist College and the design team.
