Movie House Cinema, Cityside
The refurbishment of The Movie House Cinema at Cityside Shopping Centre was successfully delivered on budget and to a strict construction programme to the satisfaction of the client and Hall Black Douglas who were responsible for the design of the project.
The scope of works involved the refurbishment of 14 individual cinema screening areas including the replacement and upgrade of, Seating, Ceilings, Wall linings, Mechanical & Electrical Services and Acoustic partitions
The nature of the Client’s business meant that there were a number of specialist contractors involved in the project who provided services relating to projection screens, specialist seating and acoustic wall linings. As they were based on the UK mainland close co-ordination was required from appointment stage in order to ensure that maximum productivity in conjunction with the overall programme was achieved while they were on site.
