Retail Units and Civil Works Hanwood Belfast
This project, located in East Belfast, involved the construction of 25 nr new build retail units. They varied in size from 2000-3500 square feet and were geared specifically towards start up businesses who want to be based in the local community and subsequently provide services and employment for the local community.
The unique challenges associated with this project included:
• Divert existing 750mm dia cast iron trunk water mains.
• New 400mm dia cast iron water mains to supply site and replace existing.
• Divert existing 1200mm dia pre-cast concrete culvert 8.5m deep.
• Divert existing 450mm dia pumped sewer.
Through a number of services co-ordination meetings which took place with the various authorities all works were executed successfully within the overall programme.
