There are 43 units in all and comprise of 2 nr 3 and 4 storeys apartment blocks along with the provision of underground parking facilities.
The scope of works for underground parking facilities included:
• Basement secant pilling
• Concrete transfer slab and columns
• Ground beams
It was essential that our contracts team liaised with the Structural Consultants at the pre-start stage to ensure all aspects of the excavation and pilling was to the required specification.
This scheme has been designed to meet ‘Secured by Design’, ‘Lifetime Homes’ and ‘Code for Sustainable Homes’ criteria. Meaning that all window and door and lock specifications are at a much higher standard than usual to deter burglars, the units can be adapted to meet the changing needs of tenants and that they are built to a standard where the objective is to use ecologically friendly materials / reduction of water consumption and overall running costs through increased efficiency.
