Queens University - Transition Zone

Queens University - Transition Zone

T & A Kernoghan Ltd has completed refurbishment works of the Transition Zone for Queens University Belfast, in the Peter Froggart Building.

Scope of works for this scheme includes the following:

•Remove existing ceilings complete and replace with new layout and lighting.
•Remove existing standing computer work stations and replace using new covered structured work bench.
•Remove reception desk and carry all remedial works to floors and walls.
•Installation of Mechanical and Electrical services.

As works was being carried out in a live environment it was essential that no aspects of the day to day operations of the building was affected. To ensure these measures had to be discussed and agreed with the building manager to allow an interrupted programme of works.

Such measures have contributed to the success of this project, with the university having to absorb little or no disruption.
