Daisy Hill Hospital
T & A Kernoghan in conjunction with the Southern Health & Social Care Trust have successfully completed refurbishment works to Daisy Hill Hospital.
Scope of works included providing temporary accommodation for the Neonatal Unit. Formation of new cleaners store and photocopying room at ground floor level, complete refurbishment of the Neonatal Unit to provide new layout, with adjusted and extended services, fire escape exit and drainage.
As the building where the works are to be carried out, is to remain occupied and all accesses to this and other adjacent buildings must be maintained, our Contracts team had to liaise with the Clients Representative at the before works commenced to ensure the following;
•Deliveries to the site and the removal of debris must be undertaken between 9am and after 5pm.
•As the main visiting hours within the hospital is between 2.30pm – 5pm and site traffic must be restricted within this time.
•Patient rest hours within the hospital are between 1.30 – 2.30pm, thus no noise was permitted during this time.
•As emergency vehicles may require access to the site at any time, our Contracts Team had to ensure that all access roads were left unobstructed.
