T & A Kernoghan are currently progressing well on site with this 5 phase scheme for Clanmil Housing Association.
The works involve the demolition of existing buildings, taking up of existing surfacing, removal of contaminated material, provision of capping layer, vibro compaction and erection and completion of general needs housing comprising of 166 No. units which are to be constructed to Lifetime Homes, Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 and Secured by Design Standards.
Accommodation comprises of the following:

• 8 Nr. Retail/office units in shell finish

The dwelling will have concrete strip foundations and a precast reinforced concrete floor slabs, timber framed walls, upper floors, and roof structure. External skins of walls will be facing brick and rendered blockwork and fibre cement slated roofing. The apartments are of similar construction except they will use blockwork and facing brickwork cavity walls.
