Scope of works involved the construction of a four storey building containing 15nr flats with associated services. The general arrangement of the flats have been designed to suit the existing sloping site with 3Nr. Flats on the lower ground floor, 5Nr, on the upper ground floor 5Nr.on first floor 2Nr on the second floor.
The construction consisted of trench foundations, precast and insitu concrete ground floors, facing brick and rendered block work cavity walls with masonry / stud internal walls. Reinforced concrete retaining walls, pitched roof with tiled finish and PVC rainwater goods, external works generally consist of reinforced concrete retaining walls, paths and paved areas, perimeter fencing, provision of new parking areas and provision of new storm and foul drainage and external services.
The new homes are designed to achieve code level 3 for Sustainable Homes and objectives associated with this include reduction of water consumption and overall running costs through increased efficiency.
